Tire diameter vs. wheel diameter.

Like someone said above - your post does not contain any information allowing to answer your question - wheel diameter generally doesn't matter, tire diameter does.

Answer to your question is likely no unless you will try to use some extreme tire size.

Thank you for the response. I need you to advise me which size of the rim is suitable for which size of the tires so that the transmission is not affected

Transmission will not really be affected - if you want the gearing to be as it is right now, you have to match tire diameter for the 20" wheel to tire diameter you currently have - multiple tire size calculators can do it for my you - this one works fairly well.

For example 235/50 R18 - 235/40 R20 has almost same diameter - so your gearing and speedo will be unaffected. 295/30 R20 since I am guessing you want to go wider also will be close - don't know what tire you currently have so these are guesses.

Then you have to make sure wheel width is sufficient for the tire width - tire manufacturer specs have this info. And lastly make sure the wheel / tire combo fits in the car width-wise.

Look up other threads - there is ton of threads about different fitments of 20" wheels/tires. Way more effective way than just going off and looking at dimensions.

No, this is a completely normal upgrade. No danger or malfunction there.

The factory 20" wheel option came with 265/35r20 tires, that's what you should be looking at to keep the speedo accurate.

Mathematically, a 255/35r20 is nearly identical in diameter to the stock 18" and 19" options, so that's what I went with on the front of my '15 when I swapped from factory 19" to 20" rims. However, the difference in diameter for a 265 tire is so minimal it won't make a noticeable difference in the speedo.

If you want to go wider than 265 and still keep the speedo accuracy you can get a 295/30 or 305/30, just make sure you're new rims are wide enough to accommodate the tire size.
