K. I have been making some phone calls around and I don't like the answers I am hearing from dealers. My local dealer when asked if they had an allocation or not said; leave a "sizeable deposit" and we'll see if we can find one (I am looking for a 2020 GT350R only, ordered to spec). Another SAID they have an allocation except when the peon sales rep looked further into the matter a week later, vitto'd and said they do not.
I have talked to 3 other dealers that do have allocation and would accept a order with a deposit.
QUESTION. How do I know or ensure that the dealer does have an allocation first off and that I can indeed trust them with a deposit for a April (2nd) build? What paper work or confirmation do they have (that they can also prove to me) that they are getting/have an allocation? Cause, I don't want to find out they don't come April, have a deposit tied up and maybe even eaten (unless I buy some fucking car I don't want nor will I pay for)... wasting my time and giving up opportunity of a dealer that I could have worked with?
Appreciate your time - wish this whole damn process was alot easier and not full of greasy-greedy sales-people / dealers...
