The ZL1 will not have an "updated" front end like the facelifted 2019MY. Remember what happened with the previous gen? The ZL1 kept the pre-facelift front end even when it got it's rear end "butt-lifted" (I think this doesn't sound good but "facelift" does not apply when it's on the rear, right?).

Here is a picture of the previous gen ZL1 2014 and the ZL1 2019:
Man, that’s so tragic.

I really liked the look of the 6g camaro prior to the refresh. It looked modern, tough, and well designed.

The refresh just looks like a return to 90’s jellybean style. And it doesn’t mesh well on the new ZL1 at all. They should have just not touched the body at all on the top model.

Im thinking red with white stripes. Maybe red with black stripes. Ive got a lot of time to think about it and its all moot if its too heavy. The mid engine vette may be the best option, but no decision until the reveal and some factual information.

My thoughts exactly. I will struggle with not going yellow with white OTS but as the wife already says "why do you need two yellow mustangs!" If they keep the weight below (well below) 4,000 I'll go with red w/white or blue w/white.

If they don't keep the weight down I'll just hope they get the bronco right and build a mean off roader (and maybe throw a charger on my 16) At the rate this is going they will arrive around the same time!

I like to disassemble things.
It only took a few minutes to change the original, rendered hue to something just as appealing but in a different color. Why is it so difficult for Ford to break free from the past and do the same?

Talk about weight issues, the new ME Vette is expected to be 3500-3700 pounds. That’s crazy.

What's hard to believe? isn't the ford GT carbon fiber 3250? isn't hard for me to believe an aluminum is going to be 3600 or so. The good part is, the weight will be in the right spots - or at least it should be.
it isn't going to cost 500k, more likely 80k for the base and possibly 150k for the zr1 version which I'm sure will use bits of CF to get under 3600 lbs. Will know in time, but they aren't gonna spend oodles of $ to make it a sub 3400 lb car.

I really hope it weighs less than 3600 lbs
Impossible on this platform with FI, unless one were to strip all the interior and go to carbon doors, quarter panels, roof, etc.

Stripe delete would look killer. Racing stripes are so played out and looks like you are trying way too hard. First thing I did on my 2007 GT500 was remove the stripes and it looked so much better.

That’s unfortunate. If it comes out weighing as much as a mountain, might just save a little more money and go for a used Mclaren 570s. No point having a mountain of horsepower if the car itself weighs as much as a mountain.
