Well, decided to take advantage of the paint's undamaged status and get her shielded. Had a full detail, machine polish, CQuartz applied to body, wheels, and calipers, and SunTek applied to full front, full hood, both front fenders, rocker areas in front of rear tires, A-pillars, side mirrors, and above windshield.

The team of detailers/installers was fantastic. If anyone is looking for an extremely professional team in NoVA, SpeedFreak Detailing is where you should start. I met with them on 19 Nov (Sunday) for an introduction and decided to leave the car with them for an early Monday start. I had the car back yesterday (26 Nov); not too bad if you consider the holiday and amount of work.

Wow! That's gorgeous. A friend of PP0001 recently was asking me about suntek vs xpel..... There you have it, looks great!

Thanks! Apparently, SunTek has a new high-end line; it offers better durability and protection than the previous product. The way SunTek was explained to me, its clarity beats out XPel and allows for greater "depth" from vibrant colors...which LB definitely is haha. From what I have seen, XPel and SunTek are both excellent products, with the hair being split by installer tradecraft.

I had xpel done to half of the car, this weekend going for the rest. Very happy with xpel so far. Its expensive but if you drive like I do (15-20k/year) and want to keep the car, its a must have.

I did the same SunTek on my LB '17. Then a week later, I picked up a rock on the hood at the track that went through the SunTek on the hood and took out a small chip. Was a hard enough hit to dent so would have been much worse without the film, I'm sure.

c'est la vie ... what I get for following up the tailpipe of a 700-hp CTS-V when he drops a wheel in the grass.

Very nice. May I ask how much all that cost? In the future I am looking to get this done to my car.
