Yes it is. It reminds me of my 16 track pack story. A few days before Christmas of '15, I walked into my dealership and drove away with a OW '16 track pack at MSRP. Back then, thst was unheard of with 10k+ ADM'S common.

Here we are end of month, end of year, and it happens again. It seems the best time to buy one of these cars is late December. If a NA voodoo is your thing, jump.

Word is getting around. A friend that lives in Columbia just sent me pics of the car. I don't think it will last long.

Best time of the year to buy any car. I just picked up a used OW R with all options at a local ford dealer, 2k miles with 7/70 CPO for 73k. In CA that's a pretty good deal for a white/BLUE OTT. It was that or a brand new one( not in white) for 5k over across the country, 2k + to ship, and all the hassles of getting it registered in our socialist republic. i justified the price because of the CPO and the car was spotless never tracked, and can sleep at night for years and now have a solid relationship with the GM at the dealer for the long term.

Damn $2500 ADM on R's are common now? What a difference 6 months makes
What makes you think this is common? More examples please.

He was asking if it's common, not suggesting it.

I see that now. I'd say normal ADMs are the 7k to 5k range. End of month, end of year is the best time to buy.

I have seen $2K over MSRP on a 2017 (in discussions with them now). I almost had a 2018 at $2K over - someone snatched it for $5K over. ADM's are coming down. Great time of year to buy - winter. These are R's in particular.

I've been considering buying one, but even when the gettin' is good I come back to reality. It would just be another car to worry about, besides I would just want what's coming out next. I've learned a little self control in my 50's and I like that for a change.

When i was looking new seems most dealers automatically put 10K ADM's and up. This was in summer and fall. Sure you can scratch around and find one for less, but there are enough folks willing to pay up,and most dealers willing to wait for the big deal. Those people aren't on this forum. In my experience the traditional white/ blue are the highest, blacks had the lowest ADM's YMMV

Agreed. And that does vary by market. I know someone who just bought two R's. The dealer was asking in the 15K range, but that price was negotiated down to 7K. That person was thrilled to get them at 7K.

The market right now is a buyers market due to the time of the year. Further circumstances could change that even more drastically. The Detroit auto show will IMHO have the biggest influence on R prices in the near future.

I bought my R back in Sept out of NC( I live in CA). The ADM in CA was 15-25k some even wanted 35k. The further east I looked the less the markup was.

I ended up with 7k markup and they covered shipping (up to 1000$). They had the car for two weeks, in my case cash in hand was worth it to the dealership than sitting on it for who knows how long with the chance of no markup.

While I havent been looking I felt 7k was decent for SoCal.
