GM and Chrysler Contract

The UAW hasn't even set a date for a vote on a Ford strike. It'd be nice to get it delivered before the end of September... local area $500.00 cash back from Ford on a 2016.

That is because GM and Chrysler got much better contracts than Ford four years ago since they were in bankruptcy.

Seems that it may have been named after both according to these but I have always heard the plane.

The gentleman below was actually interviewed on the show "Americarna" (hosted by Ray Evernham)
It was episode 07 season 2 about the first Mustang(s).

Hal Sperlich former FORD Mgr. of Special Studies in Product Planning says the original name considered for the car was Cougar and claims the WWII airplane name association is "fable". The wild horse is the source behind the Mustang name.

It is interesting that over time what actually transpired is so often clouded by memory (or lack of it).
Whether this person or that person was there or so and so was present at this meeting discussing that subject and what was actually said who really knows anymore.
But as mentioned above there could be some truth that both the WWII fighter and the wild horse actually played into the naming of the car.

those wheels certainly aren't my taste with the bowing out the middle look with spokes going in. pp wheels much nicer.

I think that's the camera angle I don't think they bow out.

I actually changed my order from a '15 to a '16 because I wanted the performance package on my convertible.

Yeah, if we didn't live in the damp, dank, mildew capitol of the country I too would be all over a GTPP Vert as well.

It,also,comes down to this: if what you want is not on the lot, you order 2016 by default. I preferred to not settle for second best. If I'm spending over 25k on a car, I'm damn well getting it the way I want it. If I wanted to settle, I'd have bought a corolla and started suicide counseling.

^This, for me. (Well maybe not the suicidal tendency. I have my ex-wife for that.)

Two months ago I placed my order to get exactly what I want. Otherwise, the dealers were not really offering much below invoice. I pitted about 3 dealers against each other to get 1% below invoice. That wasn't bad at the time.

Now it seems as though you can cut into the holdback, because they want to clear the lots of 2015's. The incentives are there, but the inventory is dwindling. Which makes it even worse to find a car equipped the way you want.

Let's say you find a 2015 with everything you want except it has 401a and you DON'T want that. $1800 option you don't want. How much is the dealer going to discount that car for you? Not the full $1800, I'll bet.

There is no "one best deal", and there is always another good deal to come.

That would be terrible, but they aren't impossible to wire in. I put one in a really weird Benz once when the dealer kept saying they could only put in an iPod connection.

That would suck. That is how I planned to input acoustic test signals for measuring and improving the factory stereo.

I just wish they would let us pick the wheels we want to use with the PP, IM on the fence because of that, I like the 20" X 9" Foundry Black-Painted Machined Aluminum Wheels myself but cant get PP...ugh...decisions...LOL

But Ill probably get the PP then eventually get a set of MMR GT1's and dam I dont know if I can handle another wheel size conversation...ha ha ha ha kidding, kinda

Will order the FRPP Borla Sport as part of the Package, Installed by Dealer

Might order a Black Stock Spoiler or the GT350 Spoiler (dealer said they can get it)
Will put on the MMR GT1's (black)
I have a list of mods...as does everyone

I dig the black and red on the Apollo Stang - might go this way less the USA stuff

Just gotta wait a bit longer, cash is king.

I HATE the chrome window surround on the Pony Package,. My wifes Fusion has that and with tinted wiondows there is a horrible glare.
