So, I first had a 2015 GT premium auto and now have a 2017 GT Premium PP both configurations noted in my sig. My step dad has a 2015 GT Premium with the 6 speed manual and 3.55 rear, which I drove yesterday to do some of these comparisons to confirm what I thought I was noticing. So the comparisons are based on:
2015 GT Premium Auto 3.55
2015 GT Premium Manual 3.55
2017 GT Premium PP
First, there is one obvious difference - the cupholders in 2015 have rubber inserts on the sides to hold smaller cups. The 2017 (and I believe 2016) have plastic spring loaded side assists instead of rubber.
No 2.5mm audio jack (believe this went away in 2016) inside center console.
Now some impressions.
1. The intake sound on my 2017 PP is significantly louder under acceleration than in my 2015 (in a good way). I also tested this in my step dad's 2015 manual and his was also quiet. So, either this is a performance pack "thing" or it's a 2017(16) "thing". Anyone else notice this?
2. Driving my Performance Pack back to back with his 2015 6MT the PP suspension changes are quite noticeable. Even with 20" wheels on his my Perf Pack ride is stiffer and more planted. I also feel the PP wanting to have throttle applied through the corner while the 2015 non PP was more neutral through a corner.
3. In the 2015 (both my old one and his) the indicator lights in the center LCD for Sport+ selection and Track were yellow. In my 2017 PP they are all grey regardless. Is this PP specific or 2017? I don't know.
4. The 2017 saves my setting on the cooled seats and when I restart the car it's on wherever I left it last. The 2015 turned them off every time I shut off the car.
5. Sync3 is much faster and responsive both touch and voice. Believe the hype.
6. PP wheels are much harder to clean than factory 20" wheels. (But you already knew that!)
