Exactly. When I removed the bottom portion it literally peeled away like a page from a notebook. No effort required at all.

Yep. First time installed I used the included grey tape, which promptly melted on a pretty humid 85* day. Second time installing I used the black extreme 3M tape along with a more generous application of the adhesion promoter.

Yep, you're exactly right. It creates an air pocket under there that is severely stressing the plastic. I was the second or third person to install one of these and have put about 800-1000 miles with it on so far. Much of that has been highway mileage which I am almost certain was the culprit...

Well it looks like this just wasn't meant to be. Just had to pull over on the freeway and remove what is left of this diffuser. Can't comment on the plastic clips as I used stainless hardware but I haven't had any issues above 80mph at all. I don't exactly hang at autobahn speeds on my regular commute either though.

Tried to grab a couple more pics with an actual camera today but the rain kind of cut me off. Still pretty dark as its hard getting a decent shot of magnetic without blowing the exposure.

Holes were marked, double checked for alignment and then drilled.

Went to the car wash to grab a few pics. It's dark out, the cars dark and the piece is black. Not ideal, I know. Better pics with my DSLR will come tomorrow though. So far I'm very happy with fit, finish and the install. Not sure I would dig it as much on the brighter colored cars like...
