What did you do to your Mach 1 today

I just bought a cover for 45% off (summer sale?) so I can appease the forum gods for parking my cars outside under blazing sun and pelting acid rain and not washing them for months at a time.

This is the second time I've used it. Only use it when I'm gonna be out of town for a bit and got lucky enough to wash right before or an impending snow storm/hurricane. Mine was 500 :-/ but there aren't many outdoor HP options

Enjoying a Saturday night and reflecting on the evolution of my experience with the Mach.

3 years ago at this time I was receiving the umpteenth email pushing back the build date for my order.

I was much more active on 6G then, and for the year or two after taking delivery (October 9 2021 but who's counting LOL). At this point all the mods are done. The only mod I can really think that's left is a blower after it's paid off.

So sneaking up on 3 years of ownership and 6,200 miles and I just love it. Still go out into the garage and look at it from all angles. Don't drive it that much (obviously) for a lot of reasons but mostly because the only time I want to drive it is when I'm in the mood to party. At 5AM it's so much easier to drag my dead ass into the Ram, spread out with the Yeti of coffee, and mentally prep for the upcoming daily slog at work.

Really hit the car show circuit hard last summer, but after winning 1st place at the Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club annual show, I don't have the same enthusiasm for sitting in the sun wasting time for 4 hours on a Saturday.

So he sits in the garage, waiting for the right time to roar. My favorite time to drive is when its warm enough outside for windows down, just before sunset, on our local 4-lane stoplight highway, or cruising through the rural western PA countryside. The smell, the sound, the performance, it's so satisfying.

The other day I got a ride in a buddy's Tesla Model S. Yes, we know electric cars are fast as hell. But I'd never trade the Mach experience for another couple seconds in the 1/4. On the way home I'm doing 45 in the slow lane and this dude in a red Jetta is neck and neck yelling about how awesome the Mach looks.

Guess that's all. I go to Page 1 of the Mach 1 registry thread from time to time and am happy to see that most of us OG's are still here. Would never replace it with a GT350 because they're too slow at low RPM's and would never replace it with a GT500 because I like to shift gears. When the Whipple gets installed in 3 more years I'll have the perfect ride.

I'm 2 years since delivery as of last week. (Crazy to think I ordered it 3 years ago before the price hike) Still loving it!

whenever I get the feeling of wanting something else I just go "yeah as long as it's sitting next to the Mach 1 "

A long overdue exhaust tip cleaning.
I knew these were overdue for a cleanup, but I didn't realize how bad they were.
I also found some rough edges that had to come from careless assembly and never made it past quality on the line.
