Whats a better bang for your buck deal for better quarter mile times and build potential I am stuck in between the Paxton2200sl and the VMP gen2r Budget kit. I got a 2015 gt, current mods (headers catless, catback, nguage hptuners

Procharger or a Whipple. You can't go wrong with either setup, just depends how you want the power to come in.

I'm in the Procharger camp. I would pick the Paxton from the choices allowed. If your bank account is of concern turn around and walk away now. This is a progressive disease.

You can definitely get a procharger p1sc-1 kit stage 2 around black friday that is budget friendly. I am currently working on a 2014 vmp gen 2r build thats pretty badass.

79mm pulley
twin 69mm tb

The reason I am choosing a lower priced kit is so I don't get carried away haha. If I go bigger kit then I will say to myself, welp now I just gotta build the block haha. I just want low 10's capable

Dang everyone got me thinking procharger now if I can catch a good deal. Are they self lubricated units as well?

If you go procharger route, stage 2 is a must. Much larger intercooler and a dedicated drive belt so if the supercharger belt ever tears or tangles you can still drive the car.

You have to figure out what kind of driveability you want. You are looking at two different kinds of FI systems. My impression of a centrifugal is that the torque peak come in later in the powerband and a positive displacement system like a VMP, Whipple, Edelbrock, has the torque come in sooner, making the positive displacement system better for all around street driving. Both make good horsepower, but to me, if you primarily use it for the street, you have to treat the centrifugal system like a two stroke dirt bike. I.E, you have to keep it in the rpm range where the powerband is. I'm guessing that the Procharger is better suited for launching from a dig, the torque curve is smooth and keeps building and would tend to blow away the tires less than a positive displacement system would.

Awesome thanks for the info! The centrifugal powerband reminds me of turbochargers.
