Hi members,is a tower brace worthwhile to improve the rigidity & is it really noticeable for street driving?Thank you for your replies.

I think it was when I put one in mine along with k brace and rails.

But I did them all 3 at once, so can't speak to just the tower brace.

I say no. These chassis aren't flimsy like some 1990's import, or fox body designed in the 1970's (and those cheap bars don't do much of anything anyway)

The strut tower bar along with the cowl bracing does make a difference yes especially on hard cornering. On slow sweepers not so much.

Yea, it's part of the Performance Pack 1 & 2, GT350s, etc.
I have a 2019 GT convertible with the 20" factory wheels and it came with the tower and cowl braces. I always assumed they were standard additional bracing on convertibles, but now I'm thinking maybe they were part of the 20" inch wheel package.

My 2018 GT with 20" wheels didn't have it, but I added one. My 2019 convertible PP1 had one. Maybe Ford added them later? Unless the OPs car had his taken off prior to ownership? OP is also an export. 🤷‍♂️

There's a vendor selling lightly used take-off GT strut braces for 50 bucks on Ebay. Has a ton of them. Evidently a supercharger installer pulls them off (top mount superchargers don't leave room for the bar). I got my 50 dollar one mostly for looks. I don't have the K (cowl) brace, because my car is a base GT and I just didn't want to pay $250 for a piece of metal that probably does nothing and is invisible (hidden under plastic cowl). So, I got the cheap (lightly) used brace. I did have to order some nylon spacers on Amazon to get the driver's side of the brace to set properly level due to me not having the K/cowl brace.... If you want more info let me know. I just did this a couple of weeks ago.

Edit: I'll just add the info.... You need this for $50 + 25 shipping:

Next, you need two (not 4, your car will have two of them) nuts that look like this... You can get them from your local Ford dealer for like 67 cents each. Do not order them online... they are out of their mind. You could also go to a good hardware store (not Home Depot), but if you want the exact ones, Ford dealer has them. Part #

Then, I got these Nylon spacers. I think I ended up using the thinnest one. Either way, something convenient to keep in your toolbox. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099HLBT3X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

We have a 2020 Ecoboost Convert Prem. Installed the Ford Performance Strut Tower Brace Kit (note in the instructions it states "If your car is factory equipped with a steel cowl extension it is the same as Ford Performance steel cowl extension. Removal is not necessary." this is correct as I measured them both with calipers") seems to maybe, to have taken som flex out. Also on this site severial have had problems with shearing off the strut bolts and do not recomend torqueing to the factory spec of 41 lb.ft (55 Nm) IIRC they went with 35 lb.ft (47.45 Nm) if you shold shear them there are repairs on the site just search.

PS I also installed jacking rails which may have helped stiffen the ride.

I have a 2016 V6 convertible, will this brace fit on that version of car?

No, the braces don’t fit the V6. Primarily due to the hood not providing enough clearance but I think there’s also clearance issues with the motor. I think a few people have made it work but not sure what they did. I looked into it when I had my V6 but didn’t feel like messing with it.
