Stage1 or Stage2

Hello everyone!

To keep it short, I am getting a tune soon, and I kinda want to go with stage 2. I got a resonator delete cat back, CAI, and an Intercooler installed. What do you guys think? Stage2 is proper for my mods, or am I still at stage 1?

Stage 1/2 tunes and pre April 2022 stage 3 are what Cobb tuners refer to for their "off the shelf" (OTS) tunes. here is what Cobb states is required for stage 1 and 2.

Stage1

• Intake Requirements: Stock airbox with stock / COBB air filter 7M1101 or COBB intake system 7M1100
• Exhaust requirement: Stock exhaust, or COBB Cat-Back Exhaust 5M2150
• Boost Level:
  • 91 OCT or 95 RON Minimum Up to ~23.0psi tapering to ~19.5psi by redline. (+/- 3psi).
  • 93 OCT or 98 RON Minimum Up to ~23.0psi tapering to ~19.5psi by redline. (+/- 3psi).

Stage2

• Intake Requirement: Stock airbox with stock / COBB air filter 7M1101 or COBB intake system 7M1100
• Intercooler Requirement: COBB front mount intercooler system 7M1500
• Exhaust requirement: COBB Cat-Back Exhaust 5M2150
• Boost Level:
  • 91 OCT or 95 RON Minimum Up to ~24.5psi tapering to ~20.5psi by redline. (+/- 3psi).
  • 93 OCT or 98 RON Minimum Up to ~24.5psi tapering to ~20.5psi by redline. (+/- 3psi).

If you are having Ryan Martin providing a custom tune then none of the above applies since he will tune for the mads you tell him you have installed on your car and the level of performance you desire.

Just so you are aware the parts stated for the stages do not have to be Cobb specific parts but rather just quality aftermarket similar parts. Cobb just wants you to buy their parts.

Already started adding parts. There is no way back now . I am going with a custom tune by Ryan Martin.

I am running the Cobb built in stage 2 91 tune and love it. I get a custom tune but the Cobb tunes are pretty good.

If you are getting a custom tune from Ryan then the "stage" crap is meaningless.
