No, try it before you say that, it only attacks organic mattersYeah, and then say goodbye to any wax or sealant on your car. Lol
There are plenty of safer alternatives to use on your finish.

I dunno man i have PPF front end with ceramic coating and bugs still stick, requiring a chemical.Detail it to remove all you can then PPF. Nothing sticks on. Cleaning is a breeze
https://www.target.com/p/turtle-wax-bug-tar-remover-16-oz/-/A-13727483#lnk=sametab thats the stuff. you dont want to leave this on your paint btw, it has to be rinsed off.WOW. I hate crap like that. I'm retired and 5 bucks is still 5 bucks. Got a Target a few miles down the road. Thank you.
Are you in Florida? Are they love bugs? If so, after 24 hours there is nothing you can do. They literally eat your paint and clear coat after 24+ hours.Ok. So I should of paid more attention. Anyway, I have tiny bits of bug pcs (superglued) to front end after wash and wash again!
Don't like taking off with fingernail! Any suggestions?
Carnuaba looks great on cars that never see the light of day, but it's flash point is only around 150°F. So, as soon as the sun heats up the clearcoat, it's already giving up the ghost. Id stick with synthetics on cars that live in the real world. JmoMeguire's polishing compound, and a soft foam pad on an RO polisher. Even lovebugs come off. A thick coat of carnuba based wax helps immensly.
Bingo. That's why I recommended citrol. The high concentration of citrus will do all the work so you don't have to whoop up on the clearcoat with abrasive pads or polishing techniques. What's easier than wiping with a microfiber?Best just to wash asap, otherwise use the fastest cleaner and reapply the way or other coating, which does help getting the bugs off in the first place.
