Have you noticed something strange with you Bullitt ?.
others have noted it as well.

imagine cruising at 60 in any gear say 4th or 5th.
You let go of the gas and slowly tap it on again.
Do you notice a slight surge or hesitation?.

No, I haven’t experienced anything like that while cruising at that speed.

I tried the resonator delete but was never 100% happy with the sound, tried H pipe and SwitchFire but didn’t like the boomy trumpeting sound it made.

I have to say that the stock Bullitt exhaust does sound good. Better than a res delete in my opinion.

but heard a lot of good things about the stypes and heard a few clips.
hopefully that won’t be boomy as well.

I’m on the fence whether to pull the trigger for the Borla Stype catback.

tried the resonator delete but didn’t like the sound.

i have the "ford performance by borla sport",(axel backs)with black chrome tips,i kept the factory resonator on my 21 gt,it's a bit rowdy on the cold starts,but it smoothes right down and quiet on the interstate...perfect for me and my wife!

Initially installed the Borla 140745 system w/X-pipe. IMHO, it had an almost Chevy like sound to it (NOT a good thing!!!). Purchased the Borla 60661 resonator & immediately liked the deeper sound. Did not chassis dyno w/the X-pipe, but w/the 60661 resonator installed, RWHP increased from 426 to 444. Torque went from 398 to 424. By itself, for some, it's hard to justify the cost of a Borla system vs. the power increase. Just keep in mind that any future tunes will only be accentuated by the Borla system. Just my two cents.

Did you add the resonator because it was too loud for your liking ??
The Borla Touring is basically the stype with a resonator ?.

So I’m thinking about using plasti dip spray on the chrome trim?.
I should be able to mask off around the area and spray it while it’s on the car. The great thing about it is it’s very forgiving and can be removed easily when dry. It actually may be a better option than vinyl which may start to come in stuck at the sharper areas.

what do you think ?.

I’d pay to wrap it before using plasti dip. I think your finish would be a lot better.

Any Reputable wrap shop should be able to do the job with ease.

I agree with you.

thing is I’ve got some really good quarter window Louvers painted in DHG but it looks a little off with the chrome around it.
