Very surprised that the Vette didn't drag that Stang. Really shows just how planted the Mustang really is.

Not sure its terribly surprising, if that's a stock C5 Z06 they had about 405HP/400lbft of torque against the 2014 GT with 420HP/390lbft. The Z06 has a 2.66 1st gear and 3.42 rear? The Mustang has a 3.66 first gear and 3.31 rear (or maybe 3.73 depending on how it was optioned). The Mustang has the gearing advantage and they are tied to each other so their loads are equal, in that scenario the Mustang would appear to be at a slight advantage as long as it had traction. But, still a fun video!

It's traction difference and nothing else. Mustang is heavier so gets better traction in pulling the Vette. There's no dominance and conclusions are a complete nonsense.

There is similar video of diesel track being pulled by VW Touareg TDI - truck has an empty bed and very little traction being RWD.

The Mustang weights 400-500lbs more than the Corvette plus the strap is mounted higher on the Mustang given it a slight leverage advantage so no surprise on the outcome.

What stood out for me was not so much that the Mustang won.
But how it won so easily.
I did a pull off with my F150 vs a chevy half ton truck and later against a toyota truck.
I won against both, but I didn't start dragging them backwards that quickly and easily until i built momentum.

wow, that pretty cool. I've never seen this kind of thing before. I also don't care who won, it was just fun!
