At 257mph, the Boost Works built S550 is absolutely insane to drive. Keeping the powertrain alive for a mile is no small feat at 2300hp and 45-50psi of boost!
While we were happy with the first trip out with the new setup, and broke the existing world record, we quickly identified a few things to improve upon.
- 7275 Precisions were nowhere near enough.. we maxed them out easily. 8385's are going in!
- 1.75" primaries were too small. The new headers will now sport 2" primaries in 321 stainless.
- 2700cc injectors are not enough.. adding another 1000cc's for a total of 3700cc's per cylinder. At 3 gallons burned in 25 seconds, this thing is thirsty.
- A 10 point cage is not enough.. Upgrading to a 25.3 SFI approved cage, and 7 point harness.
- Lockup torque converter will be a nice addition!
This car will go 270+mph if we can keep her on the ground!
