Wiper to hood clearance

Since the cars are so new, I don't think anyone would have changed wipers but you might pull them up during a wash.

Something the detail guy came across with mine...if you lift the wipers up, the driver side will hit, and scratch, the back side of the hood. Only on the driver side.

Now, fair warning...I haven't had a Mustang since 2006, and I haven't made it through the owners manual so I don't know if there is a "park for service" setting on the wipers, but be careful as there is no stop on the arm to keep it from hitting the hood.

It says in the owners supplement that you should turn the wipers to on and then switch them off while they're extended to put them in the service position. A little hokey, they could've added it to a menu or something.

The Boss did sort of the same thing.

learned that on my old SVX. They are so covered by the hood they have to be near vertical to clear.
