Why more GT500's for sale than 350’s or Mach 1’s?

Any common issues with first year GT500 vs the last years made? But as I am looking at the cheaper ones, I do see branded titles / salvage etc. It is often a issue with high HP cars that are being sold again very shortly after being bought.
Anecdotally from my memory on this forum, I seem to recall a number of QC issues with 2020 models that were built during Covid. When I start looking to buy a GT500, 2020 models will be off my list.

OK so I love all Mustangs. And although I'm not looking to replace what I have, it's interesting to get on Autotrader to see what's being sold and for how much.

Pretty consistently there are a similar number of GT350's and Mach 1's for sale within 100 miles of Pittsburgh, but always about twice as many GT500's.

Why the heck are so many people selling them??? I don't get it. Any ideas from owners? Is it just a regional thing? Makes no sense to me.
I think before doing any further speculation one would need to have an estimate of the number of GT 350s and GT500s sold by Ford. If the number of GT500s sold by Ford is twice that of GT350s sold, the strange thing would be if there was not twice as many GT500s available second hand.

Values are up. They are mostly sitting in garages in winter. Gets boring.

I did a search from N. VA of 100-200 miles.
16 350s
10 GT500s.
6 M1

Might be your area.

321 350s US wide
231 500s
193 M1

My 2 cents is transmission. Why a DC for a beast like this when they used to be manuals?

I like to disassemble things.
The last GT500 was pretty rough at high rpm and trying to shift the TR6060 manual. The 2020 and later would have been retarded.

I'd bet the farm you've never driven a DCT equipped GT500 at the track...

Even just normal street driving, the DCT just feels worlds different. I wouldn’t want any other transmission in that car honestly. Ford/Ford Performance picked the right trans for the S550 GT500 without a doubt.

That's because just because you have a lot of credit or money doesn't mean your smart. Most people bought the GT500 for a quick flip investment. In some cases they know the next Shelby is coming soon and the previous Shelby's will loose value quickly.
I think it's pretty ignorant to say most people bought the GT500 for a quick flip investment. You literally have 0 data to support this claim. Everyone I know that has one drives them regularly and loves them. Also, Shelbys don't (lose, not loose) value quickly. The s650 is a dud so far, according to sales figures, and we don't even know the Shelby name will be brought back at all. And it's you're, not your, but if you were smart, you'd know that. 🤣
