Why doesn't the GT350 race car use the CF rims?

If the rims are so amazing why are they not using them on the race car? Do they not comform to the rules, or are they to expensive? Just curious.

They would if rules allowed - the less rotational and unsprung weight the better.

this car is very high tech compared to other cars in it's class, they have to hold it back somehow.
