Hello gentlemen, I'm in the process of installing my Whipple and have a question about the IMRC connectors and the Intercooler harness.

My understanding is that the Complete kits use the IMRC connectors at the back of the passenger side of the block.

I want to verify that the Competition kits have a different harness that does not untilIze any of the IMRC connectors, but instead is using a fuse tap.

Can somebody confirm or correct me.

Correct. Also note that if anyone wants to use the imrc connections to power the relay for the innercooler pump, you must use the whipple tune which has programming to utilize that circuit. I haven't been able to configure that myself using Lund or hp tuners.
NOTE: there are spots to fuse tap but be aware there is a known issue with battery's dying from the relay sticking and the pump running.

Hey, did you get your answer? That looks like an older harness. Contact whipple and they'll send you the correct one. I had the same problem

So here's what ultimately happened.

I received the harness shown in the pictures above for the Intercooler Pump Harness. As you can see they are a bit different from the one included in the Complete Kit (as seen on the diagram).

Not only does the Intercooler Pump Harness not connect to the IMRC circuit, but it also does not have the "turn on for dual fan relay" orange wire with connector attached. Instead it had an orange wire with a fuse tap attached. The (4) IMRC connectors at the back of the block all get taped up.

The Dual Fan Harness I received was exactly as pictured in the diagram with the exception of only one ground as opposed to two.

So here is the dilemma. I have nothing to plug into the connector on the dual fan harness, because I don't have a "turn on for dual fan relay" connector on an orange wire on the Intercooler Harness to connect to. I assumed the fuse tap coming off the orange wire was in lieu of this connector and moved forward and completed the install. Turns out the fans wouldn't turn on. I tested the connector with a jumper wire, and the fans turned on.

I can solve this by just cutting off the connector and tapping into a switched source, but I want this done the right way. I'm not sure if I received the wrong harness, but as of now I don't want to cut off this connector if I will be needing a different harness to connect to.

Anyone with a Competition kit (non Whipple-tuned kit) I would appreciate your feedback.

My instruction manual is the update as of 10/26/16.
