Currently looking between CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT SPORT 02 and MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S. Still open to suggestion's I live in Southern Ga where we will get rain randomly and temperature ranges from 98 to 39 f depending on summer or winter. My current set up will be changing from 235 tires that I hate and will be changing to a staggered set up. I don't have wheels picked out yet but was trying to get an idea how big is the go to on the rear and what looks and handles good. I don't wanna lower my car as well

So what tires and setup has worked best for y'all and what would you recommend. Lets talk.

Hey matthew this is Junior from N4SM, so you want something that is good in the winter and summer and you don't want to lower your car. I would go with 20" wheels for sure they will fill in the gap better. As far as tires the michelins are a great pick or the Nitto NT555G2 tires are great also and are much cheaper. For width and sizing the perfect specs on these cars would be a 20x10 +35 offset with 285/35/20 tires front, 20x11 +50 offset 305/35/20 rear. Basic setup no rubbing and will handle great. Here are a couple examples of customer cars we have done on 20" 6GR wheels. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call and we can go over wheel spec and sizing.

Aren’t these known for being pretty poor in wet conditions?
Yes I had those on a previous car and they’re absolute horseshit in the wet. And they’re not all that great in the dry either, Conti and Michelin are much better.

I have the Conti Extreme Contact Sports and they do really well in the rain, even when it’s a little cooler in the spring and fall. I run 285/35r20 all the way around and they’re great. Once the weather is consistently below 50F, they come off until spring as they do get firm and slick in the cold. But they’re a fantastic tire, would highly recommend. PS4S are great as well.

What wheels did you go with and what is the width? I’m trying to find 20X10’s with the 285/35r20 tires on squares setup in gloss black. Having a difficult time finding the wheels I like, the size, and with them mounted and balanced. Thanks!

I have the SVE CFX in 20x10 +35 offset (they are the GT500 CFTP replicas). 285/35r20 square. Bought the wheels from LMR (the wheel kit) and got my Continental Extreme Contact Sports at Discount Tire. Used my wife’s SUV to haul the wheels over there. Discount Tire got rid of the empty boxes for me and swapped the TPMS from my stock wheels over (car was basically brand new, had 100 miles on it when I did it).

Project 6GR has some cool wheels too and @Need4SpeedMotors should be able to mount and balance whatever tire you want also

Hi to all,

Would like to share my current setup

Have been using HRE FF04 on my 22 Mach 1. So far so good

Front HRE FF04 +35 10" with Goodyear F1 Supercar 3 285 30 R20
Rear HRE FF04 +50 11" 305 30 R20
+Ford Performance Track Handling pack (springs & sway bars)

Potentially, I will change this setup for 19s, with 305s square. I use the car as daily and occasionally to trackdays and timeattack events

Hope this provide more options to take a look at
