My information which is pretty reliable shows 11.8lbs.

Do you have a running excel of the stock parts in contrast to the aftermarket parts?
I just put mine on the scale . Maybe my scale is off ...definitely weighs less that the wiper fluid bottle

Small battery should cut 10-20 lbs.
Ive had a bad experience cheating weight this way.

If I can find a battery with almost identical specs as OEM, at least 50% of the oem durability but maybe 20 lbs lighter, I'd consider it...

..Maybe ill do a little searching..

Something like this available for our car?

Saving 10 lbs at best, worth it for ... $200? :D

Of course, just professional installation would cost $200 or more right? :(

You can swap that out in an hour . Front bumper is very simple to remove

From the info I have, both front a rear bumpers weigh 28 lbs, approximately 12 lbs in the front, 16 lbs in the rear.

Would you guys be interested in a approximately 10 lbs set of composite bumpers for about the same price as a GT350 bumper?

Obviously for Off Road/Track Us. But they would be equally as strong as the steel components, just react differently to impact.

I weighed my crash bars at
Front: 13.6
Rear: 16.2

Aluminum Crash bars
Front: 4.8
Rear: 8.4

I got lazy on the rear and didn't drill the holes out to 1" so If I were to make another one I could drop another pound or two

Thanks.

Weight reduction is seeming to be an uphill battle at the moment.

Today, I weighed in at 3921 with me in the car and a full tank of gas.

*edit Im 240 lbs or thereabouts.

Dont get discouraged, you can actually cut a lot of weight out of these cars fairly easy. Im down to 3670 and still have all my creature comforts. I did all the work myself so i only ended up spending a little over $300 (not including the monoblock wheels) to cut that much weight off. But im to the point now that the price of more weight reduction is going to get expensive. Driveline 800 two piece rotors 1k.... etc. My goal is to get my car down to 3500lbs flat

Just reading this now. I'd be interested in a light weight aluminum or composite set of bumpers. Let me know if you try something here.

Would it be worth it to buy a carbon fiber front bumper or are the weight differences negligible
