All,
Ok, so I'm interested in hearing from V6 owners of the 2015, as well as various engine owners from the 5g cars, both 2005-2009, as well as the 2010-2014 refresh... and I'm specifically wondering what Weight Class your vehicle fell into for registration purposes.
(also, I think the weight classes used to be a bit different, but am not sure, but the current chart is here: http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/Vehicle/Fees.htm)
My 2015 GT (and I assume just about any V8 Mustang 2005 and up) hits weight class 8.
How about those of you with the V6s? Does the DMV actually put some of them in a different weight class?
No, I'm not really concerned about the $25-ish per year difference, but rather curious as to whether the DMV just uses one category for the make/model, or actually takes substantially different weights of the same model into account. Because these are the sorts of oddball questions that wake me out of a sound sleep at 3am.
