Hey Fellas -

Has anyone found any better wheel studs than the stock ones on the GT350R that still fit with the carbon wheels (front)?

These are some long fuckers and I was hoping to swap them out (mostly due to colour).

No one with the carbon wheels on.

But, I swap the out to my daily drivers and then you can. I have a set of BC Forged in Crystal Coffee as my DDs.

Fuck, I really need to post some pictures of this car up. Pretty unique right now. I'll get on that next week.

Call MSI and discuss studs. R studs are 3" up front and same as other 350s in the rear.

Going by some other info I had, it seemed like the rear studs are 8mm longer. The R has a different part number for the rear hub, "HUB-308".

UHL of R studs is 3.75" and 2.75" posted by an R owner in another forum.

ARP 100-7733
I sent the OP an IM about where I got this info.

Another forum stated the R needed longer studs than the "long" ARP 100-7733 studs in the front. The long studs would work on the rear but not the front.

At one time ARP stated the short studs were "R" length, but now they show .5" and 1" longer than "stock" in the description.

I was looking into all this to maybe run a square setup that would require 25-27mm front spacer, but I wanted to run closed lugnuts. The R front hub might make this work from what I can tell.

I would assume the overall length of the stud is slightly longer than 3" up front and 2" in the back, as you can see here.

Thanks for the info fellas.

So, to be safe, we are sort of looking for studs that are just over 3" in length for the front if you want to still run the carbon wheels from time to time.

Both front and rear studs are longer on the R, not just the front.

Optimum has what is needed. "Available in both 2.935” UHL and 3.435” UHL and packaged in five-piece packs" If not running the carbon fiber front wheel then 2.935" UHL on all four corners is what you want.

This may help too: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74433&page=7

Strange. I messaged him. He said they wouldn't work for me in a PM.

"R-Models have very long wheel studs up front so they will not work if you plan on running the Carbon Wheels. IIRC the front stud from the factory is over 4" long. If you are planning on track wheels it's not an issue if you run the non-carbon wheels."
