Posted this in the Guard thread and then realized this may be a better location. Installed the Diode Dynamics engine bay green led lights Wednesday under the strut tower brace. I put the switch in the battery cover. I figured it was the best location for not having to run the wires longer than necessary.

He is supercharged most likely going to the intercooler

I like it. The only thing I would do different, is rig a hood pin so they come on and off when you open and close the hood. A separate on off switch seems unneeded.

If I had a blower like that I'd do it too. :)

Switch is a good idea as well. If you just want to pop the hood to let it cool off you don't need the lights on running down the battery. Good show. :)

Very cool mod! It would look sweet at a car show with the ambient lighting set to match

There are 2 large filters hanging face down in front and off a little to the drivers side of the supercharger. I like the switch for the reason stated above. The lights come on only when I turn them on and the wiring is only about 12 inches long.

Is there a good place to mount that switch on the Ecoboost? Those pics above show the radiator cover off... Is it possible to keep it on and mount to a different metal location for grounding?

Thanks!

I took a close look at our EcoBoost to find a good option, but we currently have the entire front end off the car so I'm not sure what fills what at the moment

There seems to be a few potentially good spots (even with the radiator cover on)

We will have to put an install video together in the future to make it easier

Not quite as big as the 5.4 LOL, but here's a shot under the hood of my 3V

We haven't posted a thread for the engine bay kit or grille lighting kit yet

I imagine our grille lighting kit is going to look pretty sweet with our Lethal Performance Grille Delete Kit
