Talk about feeling dumb! I have felt all over the trunk lid and cannot find a button or sensitive spot that will open the trunk. I see the arrow in the Manual pointing about where the back up camera is, but I see no button!

Any advice here?:headbonk:

Above the license plate. Below the trunk. Between the license plate lights.

Oh. Never in a hundred years would have looked there. Not looking at the manual very carefully, I guess.

Thanks.

i found it by accident. inspecting the car inch by inch on the lot i said "Oh, what's this?" and pushed it.

Generally a bad idea when you are snooping around a battle control room, but, figured on a car it wouldn't hurt anything. :)

There's also one on the dash at the 7 oclock position from the steering column, kinda hidden. It took me an embarrassing amount of time to find.

There is? I guess YOU don't need to be embarrassed . . .

LOL...I thought Ford forgot to put one on, and in looking through the manual for SOMETHING else, I stumbled on the location...Too funny to see this post!

Is it a manual release button, so that if battery dies you can still get in the trunk?

Nope. At least the trunk can be accessed through the rear seats, worst case. I mentally filed it under "things that I will get a headache fixing in 10 years."

Same thing on the S197... The annoying part is that it means jumper cables have to live on the back seat since otherwise you won't be able to get at them when you need them.

Nope. It's a pain but you open door using key, open rear seat, reach in and pull release lever. Trunk is open.
