Tracking In transit without an order

Is there a way to track when cars actually arrive at the dealer? I want to go visit a local dealer to see one as soon as they arrive, but I didn't order one yet to track via COTUS. Possible?

If you look at the details of the cars listed in that dealer's inventory, you should be able to get the vin and just enter that in COTUS to check the progress. I've done that for the ones listed as "dealer ordered" at my local place. They were all waiting to ship last I looked.

Dunno if true, but my dealer claims cotus is behind when it comes to shipping. Says he regularly sees cars still showing awaiting shipping and show up at the lot.
