Added a little bling to the engine bay. The under hood pony came from The Anchor Room. Also added tint to the side markers, rear reflectors and back up light. Last thing I added was a dash plaque which also came from The Anchor Room. Jason and his wife run a first class operation!

It's easy. Just take the plastic clips out you're done. Use a screwdriver or trim tool.

Thanks. I went and looked at it last night. Should have done that before asking the question...

Tomorrow is all Mustang, all day. Full clean, install wheel spaces, and remove that liner. Then car show!

Are there any adverse effects from removing the liner? Does the removal of the extra heat protection cause any harm to any of the hood elements?

Looks great OP.
Now I'm going to have to get that decal.
I just cut the oval out of the insulation, and the black pony will look great.

There was a thread debating that. search and you should be able to find it. I took out mine because it was starting to sag a little and was soaking up water.

Great minds think alike!
I am lucky enough to live within driving distance of The Anchor Room. I had them install black out panels, paint protection panels and a few other goodies last year. Picked up these pieces and did the install myself.
Jason and Jennifer are great people and have cool operation. Highly recommended!

i like this. a heat shield is more to keep an engine fire contained, right?

also, painting the coil covers and engine cover are easy DIY things. several threads around on the topic. supplies to do it can be found at your local auto store.
