No, ford isn't going to touch that. They already have a cobra jet and probably feel it wouldn't sell well enough. Couple that with Shelby taking the next gt500...most likely over 900 hp... makes very little sense to them I'm sure. I'd like to see head on comp in everything myself.
The other thing to keep in mind Jim.
The Demon can be driven on the streets. The Cobra Jet,.....not so much.

Demon will have the largest hood scoop of any production car in America, measuring a whooping 45.2 square inches. :eyebulge:

That's something to be proud of lol

So basically a hood scoop with hinges and without a hood.

I'd find it hard to believe ford would cater to the street legal drag car crowd, when they have the cobra jet already. I would love to see them take on that challenge but I just don't see it happening. Ford in my opinion is too civilized for it. Hell, they won't even make gt350R with tow hooks from the factory.

I will consider this demon as I'm first on the list at my dealer, but really those fender flares are a big turn off, I like that hood scoop tho!

It really doesn't take too much to turn a cars into low tens high 9s..on strip. I'd be sold if it could do it consistently on the street though (awd)
What I'm shooting for next is both, a great driving car with great excelleration. Mid 10s stock and 1.x G cornering.

NO WAY IN HELL is the demon going to even be close to the cobra jet. The Cj is a 8 second car.
I feel fords not interested in a 1/4 mile muscle car anymore. After all they pulled out of NHRA. Ask John Force.
They put all their focus on endurance and road racing.

I wonder if the installation of the passenger seat will be an option? Like the rear seat is an option for the GT350R....picture above with the hood looks as though the passenger seat is installed. Will be interesting to see how many buyers overlook the missing passenger seat - no pun intended.

That is an awsum looking hood on that Demon. It just makes the Demon look seriously fast.

That's awesome Jim!
I didn't know you were interested in the Demon. Should be a fast car.
I feel the same way about the fender flares. Hopefully they're not sticking out too far.

I'll wait until ford comes out with a gt500 or what ever it'll be. I can't bring myself to buy a dodge product.

I keep all my options open S3, and I do have first dibs for the Demon, but in all honesty, even if ford brought such a car, I probably wouldn't be all in, enough to buy it. I would like something different or an all around ass beater. AWD 700+ hp would be different, 700HP track beast? If I'm driving it on the road it's gotta handle well. The Demon probably won't be that.
My next car is gonna be whatever ford brings that is outstanding OR the Zora mid engine vette.
