Ended up getting a brand new Oxford White '18 R at MSRP from Town East Ford (I'm the guy JR369 is talking about). Great dealership to work with, btw. Ended up towing it home 1700 miles away on a U-Haul car trailer.

I have been looking for an MSRP deal for the past 3 months. From the information I gathered, it seemed like the states in the middle (TX, OK, TN) were more willing to come down to MSRP or extremely close to it. The states on the coast are still holding their extremely high ADM's, however, if piqued interest in the flesh, they were willing to "come down lower" usually to around $8K-$10K. Seems like the people who have been waiting for the prices to drop are now coming out of the sticks to buy R's and no one really knows how many GT350/R's will be built for 2019.

For what it's worth, dealerships in the SF Bay Area were willing to go $1k under MSRP for their '18 GT350s around 1 month ago.

You don’t want to know
You guys looking for deals aren’t looking hard enough. One of our local dealers just sold a new ‘18 GT350 he was advertising at $5K off MSRP for months - and still has a new ‘17 priced at $7,900 off MSRP!

oh the deals are there, right now in many states (not named california) regular 2018 gt350's are going for invoice to even $7k off (tim short ford just sold one for $7k off; granger in IA sold a race red for $6700 off). many in the $4k-$5k discount range. most of them are electronics-recaro package (not all, but most). in so-cal, i just got the first ever offer at invoice on one (shadow black, convenience-heated/cooled seats package), if someone is interested, PM me.

Wow. That won't last long.
It's listed as a regular GT350 on AutoTrader.com so it's not lumped in with the other R's when you click that category.
Maybe that's why "it's not selling", according to the salesman there.

i have been on it for the past 1.5 hrs, gave them my DL and auto insurance, we were moving along, then they just text me saying someone walked in and wants to buy it. so it looks like they're going with a local buyer. or maybe they are just saying that and someone offered a few hundred more to stave people like me off. anyway looks like it's going to be sold real soon to someone else.

So, I contacted them this morning and was told it was available. I asked that they send me some quick photo's of the panel fits ( he told me he would but didn't know why that could be an issue). An hour later I get a text that someone was sending a wire but if it's still available after lunch he would send me the pics. Another hour goes by and he texts me that someone is "coming in to buy it". I asked if he had a deposit and is the car sold?. His reply is "we don't take deposits". So I guess you wire them the full amount and wonder if you get the car? Not happening.... kind of weird exchanges with them.
