I just came across this Speed Ventures video done at Auto Club Speedway. I thought it was interesting for a few reasons, chief of which being that he ran the entire session, hitting 149 mph every lap, without a hiccup. Also, the sound is amazing. On the downside he ran wide a number of times, especially on right handers. Lastly, the last time I ran a Speed Ventures event the tech inspection was done on the "honor system." I think a view of the in car video raises some doubts as to its effectiveness.

I couldn't watch the whole thing....why all the coasting on the high bank??? was he waiting for someone in particular? saving brakes?? really confusing....

Could of been his first time. The banking tends to freak people out a bit
and they slow down a lot......that banking can be easily taken at 125
by beginners in the GT350, and quite a bit more if experienced.

The great thing about these events is a person can go as fast as they're comfortable. I thought he coasted a lot too but he took his car home in one piece. I for one know that my car is way more capable than I am.
