SW/SP 02 harness extensions

Those that have installed your SW/S/P long tubes, do the extensions need to be used on the fronts? Do the rears reach without extensions? Watching the Latemodel Restoration instal video they show the extensions used on the fronts, but kinda glance over the rears, other than stating to reconnect them.
