Summit H-pipe with single Vibrant resonator. Used it for about 3,000 miles. Very similar sound to a straight H, just a tiny bit less rasp to it IMO.

Sound clip with a cold start then switching to quiet mode:

Here are the parts I used, plus having them welded together:

SUM-640722-SS Summit brand H-pipe, says it fits GT's but it fit my Mach 1 as well.

I have been wanting to ask - why is there only one resonator?

Honestly, because I like to experiment with new things, and did not ever remember seeing one built this way! I was very happy with the way it turned out.

What type of sound did you get from it? Is it significantly quieter than a straight H pipe? Any chance you have videos? I'm curious because my car is loud AF

it is very close to the sound of a straight H pipe, maybe just a little bit less harsh. I do not think this would do much to make your car quieter.

Yeah for toning down catless headers I definitely think you’d want 2 Vibrants, not just one like I used.

I was actually thinking of buying a bottle resonator and another H-pipe to try this exact set up on my car! I am trying to "refine" the sound of the H-pipe. I like the volume, but I want it to be a deeper tone - a less "sharp" sound, if you will.

Would you say this kind of dulls it and makes it sound deeper?

For reference, I have the Steeda H-Pipe on my Mach 1. I like the sound of the stock resonator, but not the weight and volume level (which was too low IMO).

IMO this setup has a little less volume than the straight H pipe but definitely louder than stock, and takes away a bit of the harshness.
