It’s been mentioned in other threads, but I believe it’s because they would have to resubmit for CARB/EPA approval. 2022-2023 production numbers probably didn’t warrant the time/money to do so. Definitely sucks because I think that’s a good option for those that want a little something extra and still maintain a warranty.
Yeah not to rub salt but I really like it. Adds a bunch of low end power.

Consider my wound thoroughly salted now 🤣.

Glad you got your knock issues figured out, I know it was driving you nuts

A year or two ago I installed an AEM DryFlow as a drop in replacement for the original factory air filter (on a stock 2018 GT). The car runs well with the AEM filter but I didn't really notice any change in sound or power.

Ask the hypothetical “How would you feel if I tuned it” then

meantime, always a Ford Tune just for a little kick, then get a real one down the line. Always something to do in the meantime

As far as the intake causing issues, as long as hes not puddle running or shit, should be fine
I had a K&N CAI and it was a little loud, didn't need a tune , then I went to a steeda Closed box and a tune it improved my throttle respondes and it flows better

An air filter alone does nothing power wise. A cold air system will not produce anything you can feel in the butt dyno.
These items with a tune can produce mild gains.
An increase in noise does not directly correlate to power. It may, however, produce a placebo effect.

If more sound is what you want, maybe pull the engine cover off, and the insulation on the firewall, and maybe the hood. But, the interior is going to get a little warmer and the paint on the hood may not last long.

Cai wont affect warranty, not sure why ya wanna wait

any dealer who voids it over a drop in filter or CAI is smoking crack, and should be avoided. I had a fbo Ecoboost with a tune and my dealer just told me to uninstall the tune prior to any work.

as far the filter, I know this is a pic of a KN, but look at the difference in size and material, which would you honestly rather run?

I have an ecoboost and have wondered that also..I think K&N flows more air but still debate if it's worth the trade off. Like the Roush CAI but too expensive for my daily driver :)
