Frpp axleshafts and do you confirm the 4.10 gear also?

i'm about to be the owner of an 18 pp gt and was a former owner of a lightly modified '10 gt500(pulley,exhaust tires,totally reworked rear suspension for drag racing) that I worked my butt off to get and 11.6 out of...and this is all blowing my mind..is the ten speed so good or the engine so overrated that it makes up for 75 to 100 crank hp difference? our 60'ft times were close..weights close to same..i cant figure it out

The parasitic losses in the 10-speed is close to the manual’s. So, the 10R80 is good. But, I think the 10 gears keeps the engine in the sweet spot longer and that extra area under the curve does add up to 75+ hp.

It has 4.10s but as our Head of Manufacturing stated -

Technically they are 4.09’s but that’s what it took to keep this thing in the powerband down 1320. With the rpm of the motor and the weight of the car, we need help getting it moving. Obviously, the suspension played a major roll in getting it to hook. The last 4 passes the car made were all in the 1.6X sixty.

I think the the 4.10 gears Give this car the ability to leave 60' without actually having a converter. But I still feel the car would be quicker/faster with 3.15, 3.31 or 3.55 with a converter.
Either way it still worked.

There's still some part of me that's curious as to what we'd see with each of the tamer levels of gearing... you know,given unlimited time, budget, etc...

I didn't't think steeds did drag racing? I can't recall any factory steeds car drag racing but I do have a bad memory.
