Kind of trying to decide between these two. Not too many under $1k, so hoping to hear what makes one better than the other. I know thickness of the stainless plays a role, merge collector design, etc. Seems I've read power gains is pretty similar with all of them. I thought I remembered reading years ago that stepped headers help not lose bottom end torque and mine is a daily driver.

The SP's are great! I have them and wouldn't have made any other choice.

I have the pypes and they fit incredibly well. Plenty of clearance everywhere.

Thanks for some feedback! I've never kept a vehicle more than 2 years in the last 20 years, so spending more doesn't make sense.

RDP quoted me a smoking price on Stainless Works LT's with cats, now who's got the best prices on Pypes LT's with cats? (Jegs is $899) Seems they have great fitment and made great power on the previous gen 5.0's.

I just had a set of SP bolted on this week. Nice fit and finish. Hard to beat the price.

?

Go with SP/SW. Pypes QC is hit or miss, don't be the guy with cracked manifolds.
Not embarrassed at all. They fit great. No issues what so ever.

I've got pypes, the only issue I've had is the A/C line bolt touching one of the primary tubes (happens to SP owners also) and one of the clamps came loose after like ~8k miles. Took 2 minutes to tighten without a jack. I just pulled the A/C line bolt, no issues.

The quality didn't seem bad at all, they're just tiny fillet welds like all aftermarket exhaust manifolds. I didn't see any pin holes or porosity, but I also didn't use a dye penetrate on the welds.
