I finished up my Stainless Power Longtube install and I noticed that the header exhaust runner on the passenger side is VERY close to the A/C clamp holder bolt. I have a few ideas, one being to shove the motor over a bit towards the driver's side, although I don't want steering shaft to header contact, and the other is the try to hacksaw the top of the A/C clamp bolt off to increase the clearance.

What is everybody else doing before I make a decision?

Once again, big THANK YOU for the info. I sure wish I would have known about this before I installed the header. LOL.

Mines close but I think I can get the nut off and remove the bracket.

A million Thanks to you:cheers:
That's what it's all about! I have my SW system waiting for warmer weather to install

So what is the fix? Yeah I really don't see myself spending almost 2k for a header. I love the current exhaust note but wanted a catted header in preparation for boost. If the stock exhaust is free flowing enough I'll stay stock. I just liked the price range of the SP lt's

You can't run boost/FI with catless headers?
U can and they have more flow potential but catless will get much louder and when emission time comes I don't feel like having the rear 02s turned back on and all that drama. I see what a couple a friends went through. There are a few stangs in the surrounding neighborhood thar can be heard almost 3 miles away.

Hey Ultrakla$$ic

you happen to have any sound clips of your new exhaust combo? I'd love to hear how that solo system sounds when paired up with headers.

I'll try and get some for next weekend. Between raining and my crazy work schedule from now till Thursday, it's going to be impossible for anytime sooner.
