I've been thinking about checking my plugs this weekend and was wondering what brand plugs everyone is using.
Also, gapping. My old car took iridium plugs and they came pre gapped so it was not necessary, do I need to gap new plugs?
Lastly, can I run a cooler plugs running na?
I have the gt w/pp.

The plugs should be good for 30,000 miles. Leave them.

I changed my last 'stang plugs ('07) at 100k and they looked very good.

Why would you want to run a cooler plug? Unless you have increased the hp of your engine by 75-100 hp, running a cooler plug will give you absolutely no benefit over stock heat range, and could actually be worse, in that using a cooler plug than necessary increases the chance of the plug carbon fouling.

To answer your question on what colder range plugs could be used, I'm currently running the NGK-6510 gapped to .028

Same plugs for the 5.0 but not sure on recommended gap
