Took it to an awesome exhaust shop and figured out what needed done. The connection for the "factory connect" portion is too long and pushes the exhaust back. They cut off half an inch from this connection and pushed everything forward right there, worked great. If I was installing headers again I'd see how much room I have with the factory manifolds in prior to the swap, then once you put everything back on you can gauge if you need to cut off 1/2" or less to make it work. It doesn't change the functionality of it at all, even after cutting it and pushing them together there's a good 1-1.5" on either side of the clamp exposed. Lots of material to play with.

So the solo factory connect was too long and had to be cut?
My FRPP X pipe had to be cut to fit the factory connect.

I just ordered my Mach from Marylandspeed yesterday. In everyone's experience, how is the shipping from Maryland?

Do they drop ship?

My order still shows order accepted.

It was either the kooks or solo, but it looks to me like he cut the solo (it costs less). I'm positive it would still work on a factory manifold car, just might need different clamps like the ultra seal clamps solo sends you.

Mine took a while to ship. They don't directly ship it. Solo will ship it to you. It gets delivered super fast once it ships though

Thanks for the reply.

It will probably take longer because the boss is not happy.

Maybe they will prove me wrong. :headbang:

Your order might be different. I think there was a delay on my due to some circumstances. Let's hope you get yours faster

Got my Mach Thunder today and installed it.
Install was super easy. I had the Lethal Performance H-Pipe so removing the stock exhaust was pretty quick. My tips did come with some very very minor nicks in them. Nothing I'm worried about since I might have them coated black anyway.

First start-up I was happy I didn't order the Mach-XV. At first I thought this was not loud enough, I was considering putting the Lethal H-Pipe on. But it seemed to have woke up on the test drive. Me and the wife are happy with it. It sounds really good.
Didn't notice any drone at all.

My wife drives my car to work so we will see how a 4am cold start sounds.

I'll be trying to get the exhaust tips perfectly centered tomorrow.

I do like driving in Sport Mode a lot now, just gives it a more aggressive tone. I just got a Lund tune that I need to install tomorrow too.

I'm debating on swapping out for the Thunder myself. As long as the low cruising volume doesn't change much, I don't care if it's louder at WOT.

Has anyone seen any info on if the mid mufflers have any sound absorbing material inside or just louvered x - pipes?

There is no sound absorbing material in the mid muffler.

EDIT: Sorry, I jumped the gun and was wrong on this one :(

Well the internal x pipe is straight see-through, but the case itself is filled up nicely so gases enter there via the louvers get some dampening. There are some close ups of a mid muffler in the very first post.

Filled up nicely with steel wool or packed glass or some similar material? Its difficult to tell from just seeing what appears to be shiny strands of something inside a few of the louvers

Who has the best pricing on the Solo systems? I am ready to replace my Roush axle back with the Mach Thunder. I think the street race is a bit too loud.

You should have ordered during the discounted pricing from Solo that just ended. Your best bet is to just contact Steve at Solo.
