Guys, what do you do with the old exhaust?
Rent a chain cutter from autozone, etc and chop it into sections just like the Solo comes. Then you can grab some band clamps if you ever want to piece it back together.

Sounds good! Its a user preference but I think your 4.5" tips should come out a tad bit.

Here is what mine looks like.

Definitely need to adjust the tip to the front.
I noticed that this exhaust is not so street illegal. It sounds pretty nice

Yeah, I had them a bit further out, but they bumped the rear sway bar. I might be able to go back in and adjust how the down pipe sits. Do me a favor when you get a chance and tell me how much clearance you have on those resonators to the rear sway bar?

Edit: or are you talking about just pulling the tips themselves out? I hadn't even considered that, but there's plenty of length for that, hmm..

I've got about 200 miles on my catback so thought I'd give some of my thoughts on the system

Upon start up it is very loud. So loud that I would hate to leave at night for fear of being "that guy" in the neighborhood. However once it warms up it dies down to a nice little burble. It has a nice deep throaty sound and I love it. It's loud when you get on it but relatively quiet just cruising around. It does have some drone around 2k rpms that I've noticed unfortunately. It's not too bad if you have the windows up and listening to music but if your windows are down it can get a little annoying. Also I have noticed a lot of low end power increase. Feels a lot more torquey. I think it was well worth the price. I couldn't justify spending $1100 on an exhaust so to me for $450 it is perfect. Can't wait to add a downpipe to it.

What downpipe are you going to get? With cats or catless

I haven't decided yet. I think I'm gonna have to get a catted one though cuz I live where emissions are required. Idk if I want to go through the hassle of swapping downpipes when it's time for emissions.

Alright I just want to hear SOLO with 3 inch catless dp cause the turbo back down pipe with high flow cat have a resonator behind it.

To everyone waiting for a video - sorry, just got back from vacation and was not with the car since last post. Maybe this weekend.

I would venture a guess that you've installed something, most likely the y-pipe, upside down in order to get the pipes anywhere near the sway bar. See pic.

This exhaust sounds well tuned. Doesn't have the rasp or loud echo sound like some of the others ....
