The calculators all point to the engine making 900 area… not sure where you got 830 from… that car dynoed 790s.
The math math’s @Autopart101

@robvas yes, JPC did… they’re the current record holder also with a 200 shot stand alone kit on c16
9.5s @ 147 iirc… the whipple cars will probably only need 75-100 hit though… boost LOVES nitrous

Wait I’m referring to stand alone fueling, not pcm… we may be talking past each other.

If you meant stand alone pcm yes, the RTR drift team cars are all 1000 plus nitrous gen 4s on motec iirc.

That is the stickshift grabber blue car, you’re right though, that traps less than the 10r80 car making 40 less rwhp.

Probably some sort of clutch protection or other nanny.
Great catch 👍

Maybe I'm wrong. Something seems off with the Whipple S650 Dyno/Trap speed/60-130 Times I've seen. S650 A10 cars with 790whp 60-130 low 6s to high 5s. My Full weight S550 A10 car with 775WHP 60-130 5.2s in 1100DA.

The drivetrain losses through the A10 and the MT are well documented. They run about 12.5% for the MT (on anything other than giant donk wheels) and about 13.5-15% on the A10s.

With that out of the way, a 4k lb car (with driver) trapping at from 138-142 (lethals run to beefcakes run) are nowhere near 800+ flywheel horsepower.

Use whatever calculator you like.

At 15% drivetrain losses

That means for a 4k lb vehicle (with driver) you need:

810 flywheel horsepower (or 689 rwhp) for 138
890 flywheel horsepower (or 755 rwhp) for 142.

Very much in line with what everyone was saying, that unless you dope the shit out of fuel (making it apples/oranges) the S650 whipple packages are essentially the same as the S550 whipple packages (Gen5 3.0).

Don't forget to factor in the DA when looking at those passes. I drag race my whipple car quite a bit and can tell you when the DA gets over 2500 and the water grain content in the air is high, the car slows way down.

Not defending anything or trying to make heads or tails of this s650 whipple drama, just wanted to throw that out there.

I have been 139.9mph in the 1/4 in 2400' DA on pure E10 pump gas in my previously mentioned 4200lbs 2019 10R80 Whipple GT. Car 102 left lane, DA lower right of slip. 🤷‍♂️

Again, if someone told me I was making anywhere near the numbers these cars are putting up on the dyno I would have a, potentially unrecoverable, laughter attack.

Sunoco 260 is almost $11/gallon before shipping if you buy it by the drum. So yeah, yawn city. In other news, if you don't take showers or wash your clothes or run air conditioning or heat you too can reduce your electric bill to less than $30/month.
