In the video I think they capped out at below 20 on pump 93. Where is the logs that are showing 21 degrees of timing?
They talked about it in one of the many yt videos. Said it will hit 21 on octane booster but not on 93.

Let's see if any blowup once a large amount of people start running them, that will show if the tune is safe or not

Wonder how long Steeda will wait to put one on their 2024 drag car?

Waiting for mine to ship any day…

Sidenote…my fox body eats 20-21* degrees of timing at 20#’s of boost on E85/M5

So 21* on a high comp coyote on E30 with only 12#s is hardly spicy.

Ya think? Tell that to those ring lands. E30 helps, but if you're not up around E70+ on stock pistons, good luck. 🤞

In scientific tests E30 gives the majority of the effects of E85 as far as cooling and spark tolerance.

They’ll be fine if the fuel pump/BAP keeps up.

Lund did a lot of brainwashing people into huge fuel systems and overkill injectors on what end up being 9 second cars that could’ve lived happy lives with less fuel system capacity and thousands saved by owners…

But it would’ve inconvenienced them.

So S650 will be undoing a lot of that conditioning.

The problem is the kit is advertised for 91 octane and it’s not flex. So it’s shooting for 21 deg whether you have e30, octane booster, or nothing. It’s way too much and the knock sensors will be working overtime.

Also very true. I’m learning this real-time wondering just how much further I want to push a single dw400 and 55# injectors. Already running 3.25 pulley and the car is a beast. I think it might support the 3.0” pulley/900 rwhp with a power wire upgrade.

Knock sensors or no, if you try to run 21 degrees on E30 and a healthy dose of boost, just be ready for sad face.

There's a world of difference between optimal conditions on a dyno and the real world where IAT's, drivetrain loading, etc get a vote.

On a dyno, i'd agree and the logs will bear that out when everything is happy.

I'd also be VERY wary about the crudeness of doing the calculations to get to E30.

Topping the car off each time isn't an issue, but having to run it to near dry each time is problematic. If you don't, doing the proper calcs to get E30 is going to get difficult. I suppose you could install a true ethanol sensor, but even that has it's drawbacks if you don't mount it as close to the feed pumps as possible as it takes a bit for the motor to drink fuel enough to see the new blend.

I suppose if you wanna sit at the pump for a bit idling until you get the new readouts. In any event, trying to hit E30 on the dot is going to be a pain in the ass, one way or another.

No need to push fuel systems any longer. If the stock whipple tunes are giving you 20-21*. No need to pay 1000s for a fuel system. Just add a can of octane booster, so your 800+ WHP A10 car traps like a 700whp car.

@Autopart101 Nope, just did all the math and checked several 1/4 and dragy vids… the 800rwhp cars are trapping like 800rwhp.

Whipple and ford did a great service for all of us, eliminating bullshit middlemen and unnecessary expenses.

Want to go 11s… buy a 10r80 GT
Want to go 10s … buy a whipple stage 1
Want to go 9s buy a whipple stage 2
Want to go 8s, put a standalone kit on top of your stage 2 with c16.
Nothing new…. Been like this for awhile now… just simple and easier than ever!

Want to go 7s… step up to a cobra jet.

My kit shipped yesterday, a mid 9 second street cruiser is all I need for fun.

The calculators all point to the engine making 900 area… not sure where you got 830 from… that car dynoed 790s.
The math math’s @Autopart101

@robvas yes, JPC did… they’re the current record holder also with a 200 shot stand alone kit on c16
9.5s @ 147 iirc… the whipple cars will probably only need 75-100 hit though… boost LOVES nitrous

Wait I’m referring to stand alone fueling, not pcm… we may be talking past each other.

If you meant stand alone pcm yes, the RTR drift team cars are all 1000 plus nitrous gen 4s on motec iirc.
