How much faster is the GT350, GT350R than a GT/PP?

0-60
1/4 mile

How much slower too -

100-0
60-0

I know the track in a completely different story.

I had my front wheels and rotors off the other day to lower the car with new springs. The rotors and wheels are crazy heavy. I bet reduced weight rotors and wheels would do wonders for acceleration.

The MPH difference in the quarter is probably 5-6mph in favor of the GT350.

The weight you quoted got the GTPP is a fully loaded one. Just an FYI.

I just watched Motorweek earlier and between the GT, the SS and the Challenger, the Mustang came in last.

Ford has its work cut out.

If speed on the street or in a straight line is your concern then a GT would likely be the best investment.. with an auto as from everything I see I wouldn't want an mt82 in anything.

The Voodoo has a torque disadvantage against the Coyote from 2500 - 3200 RPM, right where the meat of a 0 - 60 can really make or break you. If this isn't evidence of Ford's nofawksgiven about the 0 - 60, I don't know what more you want.

Last time I checked, when I'm racing, I never spend any time under 4000 RPM except on a launch. Which happens ONCE.

Would it be interesting to see how the 0 - 60 would be affected if there wasn't that torque loss from that RPM range and it continued to climb? Sure. I'd be wiling to bet it would drop several tenths. Am I looking sleep over it? Not an iota.

The S550 Mustang of the non GT350 variant was very clearly made to be an every person's car. There's very little focus behind it other than a styling exercise. Jack of all trades, master of none. Performance was NOT the #1 priority. Moving units was. For what it's worth, it worked.

With launch control you should never be below 4K rpm on a dry road in a performance context.

They said they had problems launching the GT. Hence the very unfavorable straight line times.

Do what? If you slipped a car geared to run 54 mph in first gear to hold 4k out of the hole you'll be buying clutches left and right. Lethal found that out real quick by smoking theirs.

It's because people could see what you were going for here. Thread seems pretty self-serving. Cars are completely different.

If you want someone to say that the GT PP is the best performance value, I'll say it. As hard as it is to find a better performance car in the GT350 price-range - it's just as, or harder to find one in the GTPP price-range - what you get for Low 30k is impressive.

here is a hint, go see what the minimum rpm for launch control is.
