First wash your car, you want it to be as clean as possible.
Use something to strip the wax off, I use either a 5/95% Dawn dish detergent/water mix and/or rubbing alcohol.
Test fit the item with the stickers still on the 3M tape, get an idea of how it is gonna line up before you commit. (if you are unsure you can use a wax pen to outline the piece to help you line it up when you apply it for real)
Use an adhesive promoter to help the 3M get a good bite on the surface.
Try to do it when the temperature is between 70-90 degrees, heat is your friend here. You can even use a hair dryer to heat the tape up. Some use a heat gun but there is a risk to your paint so i don't recommend.
Pull back the plastic on the 3M tape but only enough to make the covering dangle down so you can remove it once the piece is in place.
Once the piece is in place and the tape covering removed, apply pressure to the piece, make sure to press down and hold pressure on the areas where the tape is, 30 seconds per spot is good. When pressure is applied to the 3M tape, it releases some adhesive to help with the bond.

After all that is done and you are happy with the placement, let the car sit for about a day, preferably somewhere hot, to bake and allow the 3M to set.

It's said to not get the area wet for a day or two but I always give it a week before washing, just to be sure.

Good luck and enjoy.

Edited for the Dawn/water mixture.

I did some research and it seems 3m 6382 is the strongest. Thoughts on this please.

Should be more than enough, just be sure to prep the surface well, the best tape in the world won't mean squat if you half ass the prep.

For prep I will use alcohol on both the car and scoop. I got a prep I wipe put on when the alcohol dries. Test fit the piece.
Peel tape apply slight pressure until all the backing is off then pressure all the way around.
Mine came with black out decals I am unsure where and when to apply them if at all.
