Most of the time I'm shifting between 3,000 and 5,000 RPM. The snow tires will spin even at 60 or 70 mph on dry pavement if you have the throttle pinned and you get the revs too high. I had a few "oh crap" loss of traction moments as I got used to the difference between the 2015 GT I owned previously and the GT350.

I only use 6th above 65 mph and only on relatively flat or downhill roads unless I'm traveling 75 or so. For some reason, when I drive this car it feels very sensitive to lugging and I feel like I'm lugging the engine if I'm below 2,500 rpm and trying to accelerate.

I'm looking forward to being able to reinstall the factory wheels and tires. Hopefully in the next few weeks as we are having a very warm spring. We can get a lot of snow in March, though. Last year even April was bad, so we will see.

8250 rpm every gear except 6th :D

But seriously it should feel natural when to shift. I don't even know what RPM I shift at cruising.

Was in San Diego last fall with our GT Mustang, and most the time on the Interstate System, From my experience there, you do not have to worry about getting into 5th gear, or maybe even to 4th gear, but I guess that good old California Traffic...... Ha! John
It' true, traffic in San Diego can be a bitch. I did a round trip from San Diego to Irvine yesterday and was able to keep it in the 80's about half the time. The rest of the time was in bumper to bumper.

This car gets a lot of attention, very common to see people taking video and pitures as I pass them by, and lots of thumbs up from bikers. In bumper to bumper I'm constantly getting guys in Camaro's and Challengers wanting me to roll down my windows to have a quick chat about the car.

Great to hear that, I'm glad that your enjoying your new 350 and I'm sure the 350 Will get a lot of attention, and thumbs up, i'm looking forward to when my 350 shows up..... And yes we will be driving it to the West Coast this fall and we will also be in San Diego again this years trip.... I grew up in Whittier California in the 50s back then they didn't have the traffic problem like today in California.... Enjoy the ride be safe, [emoji106]thanks John

Maybe we will see you in San Diego this fall someplace my GF like to go to old town.. [emoji41]

The last thing you want is to "lug" you car by short shifting it! I never shift under 3500 to 4000. & don't cruise under 3,000....unless an extended 70mph + trip
