I've heard great things about that highway. I'm so jealous, it's definitely on my to do list.

Best I've been on: Highway 58 (Adams Trail) from just east of Munising to Grand Sable Lake on Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Curves, undulations, glass-smooth pavement (believe it or not!), and no traffic, driveways, or cops.

I made my wife cry on that drive.:headbonk:

Southern California Highway 74 (Ortega). Long, high speed canyon road and I enjoy every second of it.

lol This is what I found in Nebraska. It looks nice!

Highway 2, Nebraska
Sandhills (grass-covered sand dunes) make up nearly one-fourth of Nebraska, undulating in slow hypnotic curves as far as the eye can see. Take Highway 2 for expansive views of the Great Plains and pastureland that’s more than twice the size of Rhode Island, but populated by only 12,000 souls.

disagree completely. the 50 from Omaha to Louisville, so long as you don't get behind a truck. The scenery is really nice, especially crossing the bridge over the Platte River

I am tempted to let loose on Plattesview Road, but, there is a sherrif's station at 84th, so, cuts that drive right in half.

Here is a video from a drive on Route 33 in VA.

Not sure why, but after uploading to YouTube, the quality goes to ****.

Skyline drive (Shenandoah National Park) is also a fun road, but the park rangers are all over that area. Further south is Blue Ridge Parkway which is similar to Skyline drive minus the LEOs.

They don't allow vehicular traffic any more -- which is totally a shame -- but I used to LOVE taking people visiting NY down Broadway through Times Square. I would always drive at ludicrously unsafe speeds (40 mph in that vicinity) and dodge pedestrians, laughing at tourists as they jumped out of the way.

Looks beautiful. Unfortunately Grand Island (where Highway 2 starts) is 2+ hours from Omaha.

I think I may cross the river this weekend and see what's over in Iowa. Loess Hills maybe?
