Thank you @Brazos609, one of my other friends was telling me about it as well.
There is this great place called BalCo that all the baseball players and track stars use. There was even a famous bicycle racer, I think he won the Tour De France or something. It's out in San Francisco but it might be worth the trip. Ask for Victor Conte.

We do PRP at my clinic. It's generally not covered by insurance and won't do anything for advanced arthritis. It's for soft tissue injuries.

It's also a little controversial among the medical community as to how effective it really is.

Im going to research it more, and set up an appointment with the orthopedic specialist. We have quite a few of them here local. Thank you Ryan

Gel injections (Hyaluronic Acid), work very well for many people with knee pain. It adds lubrication and can help rebuild some of the cartilage that's been warn down. It's pretty commonly done and is covered by insurance.

The downside is its a short term treatment. Many people require injections once a year. If you're arthritis is bad enough it won't be very effective. In other words, if your knee is bad enough, it's not a substitute for replacement. But it's almost always the first line of treatment.

The Hyaluronic Acid is exactly what the doctor said he wanted to try.

no dog in this fight, and no idea if this is relevant to you…but I had a boss once who needed a knee replacement (for well over 10 years) and steadfastly refused because he “didnt want his leg chopped off.” he did finally capitulate, and will swear to this day that it was the single best thing he ever did to improve his lot in life 😉

Were u tested for RA?
Yeah, I actually tore the “cushioning part “ of my knees and it’s basically bone on bone, for lack of a better term. Although I do have arthritis in my hands.
