Like most, I bought the GT expecting low mileage - its part of the heritage!
Mines sitting at 20.0 mpg

Anyone who’s getting much more is either using it on long motorway runs or driving like miss daisy

38??!!!!! best I’ve ever had is bang on 30 on a 300 mile round trip from York to Stourport-on-Severn using cruise control at 70 pretty much all the way!

Currently 27.4 over 10k miles. Motorway and A roads mainly. Not bad for a V8.

Cant remember the last time I actually had it in auto (D) to be fair, I like pretending to be Lewis Hamilton with my big flappy paddles, plus I only have two feet so why do I need three pedals

Only thing I miss about a manual box is clutching it and giving it a good rev every now and then :muscle:

I hate to break it to you but it's even worse than that....

I changed the calibration of the OBC so it was accurate and the setting they leave the factory with is...somewhat optimistic!

I think mine was around 8% over my actual MPG figure so if yours is anything like mine was then you're actually low rather than mid-teens.

ETA: hang on, aren't you the guy that said he doesn't use 6th gear, even on the motorway? That will account for a MASSIVE decrease in MPG.

I struggle to get UNDER 20mpg, and that's with mostly urban driving. Mid to high 20s on a long run and 30+ if driving carefully. took a track day to get it under 10!

Really ?

10 speed auto is pretty good as 10th gear is really long and ideal for the motorway. Official figures confirm better economy as well. (25.2mpg v 23.9mpg)

Yeah that probably has something to do with it! I don't get to use it that often on motorways so when have a long trip with it on motorway i find 6th too boring!

Mine is a manual. I would say you get better mpg with an auto because as i understand it you can't hold it in a lower gear for too long before the auto resets to the "correct" gear

33.4??? Wow, i need some lessons from you guys on how to drive more efficiently. It's probably because i don't do many motorway miles and i can hold a gear for as long as like with a manual rather than it resetting in the auto.

Check out the time and distance as well ! Average of 70mph for a 270 mile journey - was done with the adaptive cruise on for the whole journey in France set at 80mph
