SCT X4 updates

I've noticed that there are updates on the SCT hand held tuner, is there any benefit to updating and reloading tune if the tune was done by another company?

I am sure there are. I know for a fact that you have to update prior to uploading any tunes to the vehicle.

SCT is constantly releasing firmware updates to allow greater functionality both for the customers and tuners. SCT also released a new version of Livelink(3/31/15) to improve datalogging.

I haven't checked for updates for a while but I will today. I have an SCT x4 from Bama

So is this the process if there is an update for me?
1. reload to factory
2. update SCT X4
3. re-upload Bama tune

Now that it is spring, really want to get a tuner, just not sure what to get. I want something supported by Lund. So I guess that is sct and n guage? Wonder when n guage is coming and what it brings to the table (tuning wise) over the sct x4.

If you are getting updated tunes make sure to update the firmware on the tuning device first.

the n guage is going to have better logging and more functions on it
