Not following, why did you need those and why do you think I do?

I did notice that my 2021 GEN3 heads have a different style follower than the new take off 2019 GEN3 heads that I bought. 2021 part top, 2019 part bottom

Way overdue for update, kinda forgot about this thread. Engine is together and back in the car. Has been since about this time last year. Son Max helping out.

GT500 oil pan and GT350 cartridge oil filter were nice adds. Oil pan does drive some plumbing changes to the trans cooler lines due to interference. Cartridge oil filter allows easy inspection for contaminants and engine conditions.

Put some break in miles on it through the summer and then hit an HPDE at Gingerman raceway in Southhaven Mi last fall. Car ran fantastic, very impressed with the Mach1 HP capability! This was Max’s first event as a driver, he’s been going with me for years with our 82 GT. Not sure what made me the most nervous, him driving or my first coyote build staying together. He did great, picked it up quickly. Plan is to do more but with both cars this season.

Gingerman is a nice track, hoping I can maybe make it out there later this summer.

Your build came out great, nicely done!

Gorgeous car in Velocity Blue. Thanks for updating the thread... I was wondering how the car was doing after the engine work. Glad the car was saved...she is a stunner.

Thanks, appreciate the kind words. Here’s a short clip I captured of Max driving, he’s 17 and first weekend on track with an instructor friend. The GT500 exhaust doesn’t sound too bad.


The other velocity blue HP was in front of him by about the same distance on the previous lap. He picked it up quickly, must have been all that Forza gaming….Jk.

Yes, good eye! That is Tom Barnes, some of you might recognize him as the Mustang Vehicle Engineering Manager before he retired. Super nice guy, always a pleasure to interact with.

The layout of Gingerman track looks to be very well layed out in respect to driver safety with good runoff. Wished it wasn't so far away.
I used to drive from Winston Salem to Gingerman every August for the Mohawk Track Experience. Not a bad drive actually. But now that I live in Michigan again it is a much shorter drive!

Steeda dual rate springs, comp front and rear adjustable bars, and rear subframe bushing supports
Steeda DSC Magnaride controller
Vorshlag camber plates and brake cooling deflectors
ARP Wheel Studs
Stainless braided brakes lines
Divorced clutch reservoir
Made my own full length jacking rails to work with FP trailering tie down hooks
Made my own rear tow hook - didn’t use the FP tow hook in the photo

Front strut
Front splitter

Cat back exhaust - prefer an OEM take off either Mach 1 or GT500
Left front wheel well liner

One question I have though. I'm sure it's still within the warranty range, so would Ford not have warrantied that engine?
